US: ARCP tries buyout again, inks $11.2B real estate deal

American Realty Capital Properties has reportedly inked a deal to buy Cole Real Estate Investments for $11.2 billion, following ARCP’s failed buyout of Cole Credit Property Trust III earlier this year.

The parties announced the deal, which would create the largest such company in the market with a firm valued at $21.5 billion, on Wednesday.

Boards for both companies have cleared the deal, and the companies said they expect to close the sale in the first half of 2013.
