 |  November 24, 2014

Lowenstein Sandler LLP announced a new hire to its office in Washington, D.C., boosting its M&A advising services.

According to reports, Jack Sidorov will join the firm as Senior Counsel at its Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice. Sidorov had previously served for 36 years at the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division.

While at the DOJ, Sidorov reportedly acted as the regulator’s primary expert on premerger notification law, among other areas. While at Lowenstein Sandler, the expert will act as the top advisor on mergers and acquisitions to various clients, building upon his experience of dozens of civil penalty compliance cases.

Most recently, Sidorov helped the DOJ’s case to fine paper companies Flakeboard and SierraPine for acting out aspets of their merger before notifying the DOJ.
