US: DOJ announces new attorney for antitrust post

The U.S. Department of Justice announced on Thursday former that Capitol Hill attorney and former Patton Boggs LLP lawyer Caroline N. Holland, will serve as its new chief counsel for competition policy and intergovernmental relations. The announcements came the same day as the agency heralded its collection of nearly $2 billion in fines from Antitrust Division prosecutions in fiscal year 2014.

Holland will assume the post of competition policy chief counsel beginning Monday.
