US: Ex-North Carolina college employee pleads guilty to bid-rigging

An ex-employee of a North Carolina university has been indicted for bid-rigging and has pleaded guilty to federal program theft conspiracy. According to reports, a 62-year-old facilities engineer specialist of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Sam Hanna, stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. Court documents state Hanna rigged work contracts; he now faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
