US: Facebook owns the four most downloaded apps of the decade

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg oversees the four most downloaded applications of the decade, reported the BBC. According to app tracking app, Annie, Zuckerberg owns all four of the most downloaded apps in a decade of Facebook.

    Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram up the App Annie list, which was posted on Monday, December 16. The most downloaded application between 2010 and 2019 was the main Facebook app, followed by Facebook Messenger. 

    WhatsApp was the third and Instagram the fourth. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012 for US$1 billion and WhatsApp in 2014 for US$19 billion.
