The Federal Communications Commission has announced an extended deadline for interested parties to submit comments regarding Comcast’s proposed takeover of Time Warner Cable, effectively halting the review.
Reports say the FCC announced last Friday that it pushed back the deadline from October 8 to October 29. The move was in response to Dish Network’s motion that argued Comcast did not fully respond to the FCC’s Request to Responses and Oppositions. The FCC will resume its investigation on October 29.
Comcast and Time Warner were both found to have not given enough information in their responses to the FCC’s request for comment. Comcast said would cooperate with authorities to provide the necessary documents.
