US: Five lawsuits in single week filed against aluminum price-fixing

Five lawsuits have been filed in the last week against major banks and the London Metal Exchange accusing the defendants of aluminum price-fixing.

Reports say the suits, all class actions, claim the banks and the LSE hoard aluminum in warehouses and manipulate supplies of the metal to fix prices.

The lawsuits, filed by aluminum consumers, are seeking reimbursement for alleged damages as well as compensation for attorneys fees.
