US: Former DOJ antitrust assistant AG Wayland joins ACE insurers

Joseph Wayland, who served as acting assistant attorney general of the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division, will join insurance giant ACE as general counsel, according to a press release. Prior, Wayland had been at Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett, where he stayed for nine months. His work at the DOJ included serving as deputy assistant attorney general before his work in the Antitrust Division. ACE specializes in multi-line property and casualty insurance and operates in 53 nations around the world, said the press release.
