US: FTC closes investigation of Honeywell-DuPont agreements

 |  August 15, 2017

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said on Friday it had closed its investigation of several agreements between Honeywell International and DuPont de Nemours related to the sale of a next-generation refrigerant in automotive air conditioning systems.

The commission voted to close the investigation in accordance with a recent initiative to close older, pending investigations where appropriate, it said in a statement.

“Matters that ultimately do not merit enforcement action can and should be closed promptly,” said Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen. “I am committed to streamlining our investigations and focusing the FTC’s resources on those matters that will do the most good for the public.”
