A $1.5 billion merger has been approved by authorities between gaming and lottery company Scientific Games Corporation and gaming designer WMS. Scientific Games had originally offered to buy WMS last January at about $26 per share. While the Federal Trade Commission has approved of the merger, the deal remains to be cleared by WMS shareholders.
