US: IL hospital lawsuit is baseless, says defendant

In response to reports that Methodist Medical Center is suing OSF for anticompetitive practices, OSF Healthcare System has responded by saying that the antitrust suit is invalid and that the company is “confident it has fully complied with all antitrust laws” in its business. OSF issues a press release to announce its view that Methodist Medical Center’s case is baseless. Methodist filed the complaint in US District Court last Tuesday.
