The deal, being described as a merger, will bring Houston-based Legge Farrow Kimmitt McGrath & Brown LLP and its eight partners and seven associates under the HFW brand, boosting HFW’s total headcount to 170 partners and 450 associates. In total, HFW has 915 employees with offices in Singapore, Paris, Dubai, São Paulo, Australia and other locations around the world, according to its website.

“Houston represents a major business hub for us,” Richard Crump, HFW’s global senior partner, said in a statement. “Having an on-the-ground US office has been a goal for some time, and this merger will bring us closer to our existing clients in the region.”

Legge Farrow was founded in 1996 and specializes in energy, marine, insurance, finance and construction. The firm is able to practice law in Texas, Louisiana, New York and California, the statement said.
