US: Is the FCC poised to OK the AT&T DirecTV deal?

 |  July 2, 2015

AT&T’s acquisition of satellite TV provider DirecTVmay happen any day now.

The Department of Justice has tentatively approved the $48.5 billion deal, according to a report by Bloomberg, and the acquisition now hinges on approval from the Federal Communications Commission.

Justice Department officials closed their investigation without demanding any conditions.
