US/Israel: Top surveillance competitors looking to merge

The US’ leaders of voice, video and text surveillance have proposed a merger that reports say are likely to be approved by US antitrust authorities. According to reports, Nice Systems Ltd and its largest competitor, Verint Systems Inc., also based in Israel, are planning to merge for $1.5 billion. The two intelligence collation and analysts systems companies are the leaders in the US market for surveillance, say reports.
