US/Japan: AT&T gets $111M settlement after price-fixing suit reinstated

Taiwan-based AU Optronics Corp. has announced Monday it has reached a full settlement with AT&T Inc. in the latest news since it was announced last Thursday that the 9th Circuit US Court of Appeals in San Francisco had partially reinstated AT&T’s case against the LCD-maker for price-fixing. In a statement from AU Optronics, the company has said the settlement was agreed upon at $111.22 million, a figure that the company says it has figured into its fourth quarter financial statement. The lawsuit was originally filed by AT&T in 2009.
