A unit of Koch Industries is being accused of anticompetitive behavior and trying to push its competition out of the market by suing a rival for patent infringement.
According to reports, fertilizer company Eco Agro Resources is accusing Koch Agronomic Services of patent misuse in a counter-claim filed in North Carolina. Koch Agronomic sued Eco Agro for a patent violation and, in response, Eco Agro argues that the suit represents anticompetitive behavior. The patent in question relates to fertilizer additive concentrate, say reports.
Eco Agro argues that the disputed patent is invalid.
