US: Leftover Motorola spin-off finds a buyer for $3.45B

The spun-off telecommunications company of Motorola Solutions is set to be acquired by Zebra Technologies in a $3.45 billion deal, say reports.

Motorola Solutions was created following the break-off of Motorola Mobility in 2011.

The companies confirmed the merger rumors Wednesday. According to reports, Zebra, which makes barcode printing technology, will boost its cloud technology operations with its Zatar unit, launched last fall.
