US: Pipeline giants strike $38 billion merger deal

    The deal will merge Williams’s parent company into newly formed Energy Transfer Corporation, which will be controlled by Energy Transfer Equity, the parent company of Energy Transfer.

    The deal is expected to be completed in the first half of next year. In June, Williams rejected the offer by stating that the deal was too low as it does not do justice with its worth and showed interest in acquiring its subsidiary, Williams Partners LP for $14 billion. Steelers Lounge.
