US: Ropes & Gray hires Obama administration lawyer

Ropes & Gray LLP is adding a former White House attorney to its appellate and U.S. Supreme Court practice in Boston.

Justin Florence, who joins Ropes as counsel, served as special assistant and associate counsel to President Barack Obama for nearly two years.

Prior to his time in the Obama administration, Florence was an appellate litigator in O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s on antitrust matters.
