US: Sheppard Mullin adds new partner in New York

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP announced the addition of Bruce A. Colbath as a partner at the firm’s New York office, a hire that will boost its Antitrust and Trade Regulation group.

    Colbath, who will join the firm from Well, Hotshal & Manges, was described as an “aggressive litigator with a strong reputation in the antitrust field” by Sheppard Mullin chairman Guy N. Halgren.

    According to reports, Colbath has represented MasterCard on several antitrust batters and has represented clients before the Federal Trade Commission, attorneys general and in private suits.

    The lawyer specifies in advertising, marketing and antitrust law, reports say.
