US: Texas university in center of FBI bid-rigging probe

An anonymous tip has reportedly led the FBI to investigate individuals involved in an alleged bid-rigging scheme at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Contractors, as well as a former project manager at the university, are accused of more than $1 million in fraud. Court records surrounding the case were recently unsealed. The anonymous tip reportedly accused the contractor had invoiced a construction project on the project manager’s home to the university. The investigation is on-going, but the contractor has said he was fired from his job last November following the investigation.
