On May 4, 2023, the White House released the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology, aiming to boost private sector-led standards development for U.S. competitiveness and national security. Key areas include communication tech, semiconductors, AI, biotech, clean energy, and quantum tech. Widely adopted standards are seen as crucial for market access and growth.
