Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC announced on Tuesday that Joshua D. Wright, former commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, has come onboard as senior of counsel in the firm’s antitrust practice group in its Washington, D.C office.
The leading scholar in antitrust law, economics and consumer protection, who served as commissioner of the FTC from 2013 to 2015 and officially stepped down from the post in August, joined the firm on Monday.
“Whether he was brokering a major bipartisan policy agreement between commissioners or asserting the need for clarity and predictability in agency enforcement practices, Josh proved himself to be an impactful advocate for businesses during his time at the FTC,” said Doug Clark, co-managing partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. “Our clients will certainly benefit from his diverse experience with the critical issues facing today’s global enterprises, including standard-essential patents, net neutrality, intellectual property rights, and monopolization.”
