Vitamin C buyers certified to bring class action suit against Chinese pharma companies

U.S. District Judge Brian M. Cogan certified a class of Vitamin C buyers to bring a price-fixing suit against Chinese pharmaceutical companies. The defendants North China Pharmaceutical Co., Aland (Jiangsu) Nutraceutical Co., Northeast Pharmaceutical Co. and Weisheng Pharmaceutical Co. were found to have more than 60 percent world market share for Vitamin C.

    New Jersey food company Ranis Co. was appointed to represent the group seeking damages. Texas maker of animal feed additives Animal Science Products Inc. is the class representative for the group requesting an injunction.
