Zambia: Antitrust authority wants cooperation agreements with other sector authorities

The Competition Consumer Protection Commission has announced it will sign a Memoranda of Understanding with more regulators to enhance competition in the nation. The MoUs will be signed with regulators of various sectors to increase cooperation between the authorities. Currently, the CCPC has signed the cooperative agreement with five regulators; CCPC executive director Chilufya Sampa says the antitrust regulator is currently studying how effective the MoUs have been.
