Zambia, Malawi farmers sign MOU to fight price-fixing

The Zambia National Farmers Union and the Farmers Union of Malawi have signed a memorandum of understanding to deter price-fixing cartels by agricultural companies. The MOU calls for sharing “ideas, expertise, experiences and market information for agriculture products and inputs.” The collaborative effort will assist Malawi in improving its agricultural sector; Zambia hopes the MOU will help reduce illegal trade in agricultural products.
