Syntel, proveedor global de tecnología de la información integrada y servicios de proceso de información, anunció el domingo 22 de julio que ha firmado un acuerdo de fusión definitiva con la empresa Atos bajo el cual Atos adquirirá todas las acciones disponibles de Syntel por la cantidad de US$ 41 por acción en efectivo, valorando la transacción en aproximadamente US$ 3,570 millones. Esto incluye la deuda neta de Syntel. La transacción fue aprobada por unanimidad por la Junta Directiva de Syntel en base a la recomendación unánime de un Comité Especial.
