Home-delivery company Just Eat Plc. has completed its purchase of Spanish rival La Nevera Roja, as well as other similar competitors in Mexico, Italy and Brazil. The investment, reaching up to 125 million euros, consolidates Just Eat as the number one online food-delivery service in all four countries.
David Buttress, counsel for Just Eat, has said that the company’s strategy is to be the leader in every market. “When we’re in a market, we want to be the winners.” he said.
Just Eat’s purchases in Italy, Brazil and Mexico are expected to be ratified in early February. The purchase of Nevera Roja must still be approved by Spain’s competition regulator.
