The Computer & Communications Industry Association is announcing new hires for both its DC and Brussels offices. Kayvan Hazemi-Jebelli (Kay) joins the Brussels team as Competition & Regulatory Counsel. Vann Bentley joins CCIA’s Washington office as Policy Counsel, focusing on issues including artificial intelligence and telecommunications policy.
Kay is a competition lawyer with a decade of experience in private practice, in the European Commission Directorate-General for Competition, in academia, and as Senior Legal Counsel at a leading UK media and communications company. Kay received his B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from UCLA, his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, and his LL.M. in Competition Law from King’s College London.
Prior to joining CCIA, Vann was Policy Counsel at Amazon, where he specialized in issues including data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Vann received his J.D. in 2015 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor on the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy.
