The European Investment Bank is providing €300 million (US$327 million) of financing under the Juncker Plan’s European Fund for Strategic Investments to Swedish residential company Heimstaden Bostad. Heimstaden will use the financing to develop eight residential properties in five cities in Sweden, resulting in around 3,300 new affordable homes to rent. Part of the investments include community services such as a new library, as well as homes dedicated to elderly care.
