Hausfeld, a leading law firm in the area of competition damages claims and other complex proceedings, has today announced that it will be opening a Dusseldorf office in the summer of 2017 and that it has appointed Alex Petrasincu as partner based in the Dusseldorf and Berlin offices.
Dusseldorf will be Hausfeld’s second German office, and ninth overall. The firm, headquartered in Washington, DC, already has offices in Berlin, Brussels, Boston, London, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.
The new office in Dusseldorf will be headed by Mr. Petrasincu, who will divide his time between Berlin and Dusseldorf.
Mr. Petrasincu, who works in Hausfeld’s competition practice, joined the firm’s Berlin office in 2016. He has played a leading role in several of the firm’s competition matters, in particular the trucks cartel, numerous car parts cartels, and a case against German banking associations.
Prior to joining Hausfeld in 2016, Alex was European Counsel in the competition team of Jones Day in Düsseldorf, having previously worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Cologne and Brussels. Mr. Petrasincu is admitted to practice in Germany and in New York.
