Perú: Alltech Peru takes on Andean markets

Alltech Perú, a subsidiary of US based bio-tech company Alltech, has announced lans to move their Ate plant to a better industrial area around Lurín. The company, which develops products for animal feeding and nutrition and currently imports up to 70% of their stock, has plans for a three-fold increase in local production over the next 5 years.

    The company will invest up to $100,000 dollars in updating their production line, hiring storage providers and buying new equipment from Peru and Brazil.

    The new plant, which would take up a hectare of land, will satisfy the demand for Alltech’s products in Peru an Bolivia, allowing the company to expand into Ecuador and Colombia in the near future.
