India: Delhi High Court judge quits to join CCI

Delhi high court Justice Gian Parkash Mittal, who was appointed as an additional judge in the high court in 2010, has resigned according to the Press Information Bureau, which stated:

    Shri Justice Gian Parkash Mittal tenders his resignation from the office of the Judge of Delhi high court, in pursuance of proviso (a) to clause (1) of article 217 of the Constitution, with effect from the afternoon of 08th July, 2015.

    The Economic Times has reported that he is likely to join the Competition Commission of India in the upcoming days.
