The chairman of the Competition Commission of India, Ashok Chawla has said that the issue of net neutrality being a policy matter, TRAI must take a stand on it. The fair trade watchdog organization has also conveyed that it will look into the matter when it comes to the CCI.
While reiterating that the subject hasn’t reached the government body as yet, Chawla said that they are ready for any interaction with TRAI regarding net neutrality.
The Competition Commission of India will then look into the matter based on whatever happens in terms of behavior, as in conformity and not in conformity of policy. The CCI chairman mentioned this while he was speaking on the sidelines of CCI’s annual day function in New Delhi, according to a PTI report cited by Hindustan Times.
