India: CCI rejects charges against Noida

Competition watchdog has dismissed charges that the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) indulged in unfair business ways with respect to allotment of land.

    As per a complaint filed with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) accused them of abusing their dominant market positions by imposing discriminatory and unfair terms and conditions on the land allottees.

    In its order released today, the fair trade regulator said that “no prima facie case of contravention of the provisions of…The (Competition) Act is made out against the opposite parties in the instant matter”.

    “Accordingly, the matter is closed…,” it added.
