Bulgaria: Supermarket merger aims to boost ties with suppliers

    The owners of domestic firm Piccadilly and Carrefour will combine in the nation. AP Mart and KMB Bulgaria will combine and launch a joint venture as they look to improve their financial standing and increase payments to suppliers.

    Reports say the merged supermarket chain will run 75 stores in the nation.

    The merger remains subject to regulatory approval by competition officials, say reports.
