Canada: Bureau catches up to intellectual property changes

In order to realign its policies with Competition Act amendments since 2000, Canada’s Competition Bureau announced a draft updates to its Intellectual Property Enforcement Guidelines to earn public feedback regarding the changes.

    The Bureau announced on its website Wednesday that the changes reflect recent experiences of the Bureau in the area of IP.

    According to the regulator, the proposed changes were published to align with the Bureau’s Action Plan on Transparency. The entirety of the proposals can be read on the watchdog’s website.
