As Vodacom gets closer to a full acquisition of South African wireless carrier Neotel, reports say competing operator MTN is considering its next reactive move to the deal.
Reports say MTN South Africa CEO Zunaid Bulbulia suggested that several transactions could follow the looking Neotel buy, which are rumored to include potential deals with iBurst and Wireless Business Solutions, say reports.
Vodacom is expected to officially announced its merger plans in the coming weeks. Since, reports have focused on how MTN will react to the deal to stay competitive.
MTN and Vodacom are both in line to acquire new wireless spectrum to boost their 4G LTE services, reports say.
