US: New hire brings DOJ global expertise to Hogan Lovells

Hogan Lovells LLP announced early this week the addition of Rachel Brandenburger as the firm’s new Senior Advisor at its Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice in New York.

    According to Hogan Lovells, Brandenburger offers a global scope of antitrust expertise to the firm and will boost its ability to service clients from the US, Europe and other nations.

    Ahead of joining Hogan Lovells, Brandenburger served as Special Advisor, International to the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, playing key roles in the DOJ’s work with international counterparts.

    Among one of her more high-profile cases included working on the merger between Deutsche Boerse and NYSE. She also aided in the DOJ’s investigation into eBooks price-fixing.

    Brandenburger also previously served as a partner at Freshfields at its London office.
