UK: Regs to change stock exchange rules to promote competition

Following the Financial Conduct Authority’s three-month inquiry into the UK’s stock exchange market, reports say regulators are set to change policies that govern the industry in efforts to boost competition.

    In its report, the FCA announced that among its new objectives for the stock exchange market “now include promoting effective competition in the name of consumers,” also revealing new, “limited” regulations over the industry to achieve that goal.

    Reports did not detail exactly what those regulations are, however.
