France: Staffing companies raided by authorities, details scarce

US-based staffing company ManpowerGroup confirmed Thursday it has been notified by antitrust regulators in France of an investigation into the company, along with several of its competitors, though details remain scarce on the case. News outlets reported earlier that additional companies searched by authorities include Adecco, based in Switzerland, and Randstad Holding, based in the Netherlands; both confirmed they are cooperating with the investigation. Officials told reporters that dawn raids were carried out earlier this; further details, including the specific reasons for the probe, were not available.
