US/EU: Healthcare co Baxter sends secret concessions to EC for dialysis merger

As US-based healthcare company Baxter awaits antitrust approval for its buyout of Sweden-based dialysis company Gambro, Baxter reportedly sent concessions to the European Commission to quell competition concerns over the deal within the EU, though terms of that offer were not disclosed. Reports say Baxter has yet to hear rulings on the merger within China, Australia and Ukraine, valued at $4 billion. The deal was first announced in 2012.
