The Competition Commission’s recent ruling that Global Radio will be allowed to GMG Radio only if the conglomerate divests certain radio stations is reportedly being challenged. Global Radio has filed the challenge with the Competition Appeal Tribunal over the Commission’s ruling. Further details were not immediately available due to the legal sensitivity of the case, but Global Radio released a statement early Friday confirming the challenge and noting that the company is “proactively” continuing talks with the Commission, as well as the Tribunal.
