UK: Local business owners encouraged to voice opinions on Stansted Airport takeover
The managing editor of a business based at Stansted Airport is reportedly encouraging other businesses in the area to have their voices heard on the planned buyout of the airport by Manchester Airport Group in a deal worth a reported $2.35 billion. Terry Farthing owns Airport Lettings, which is based at Stansted. In response to the merger announcement, Farthing has created an online survey aimed at other businesses in the eastern region of the UK. Farthing has made is approval of the merger well-known, having stated that he is “delighted” that a new owner of Stansted has been chosen and that he is eager – along with the hundreds of other businesses in the area – to form a new relationship with Manchester Airport Group.
