Zimbabwe: Minister makes case for public awareness of competition law campaign

A Government Minister of Zimbabwe has stated that the nation’s Competition and Tariffs Commission needs to “rigorously” promote its policies and educate the public concerning its regulation of market prices. Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Cde Mike Bimha made the comments during a strategic planning workshop, arguing that the general public – including lawmakers – is not adequately educated in the nation’s competition law. The Minister suggested that a public awareness campaign should be implemented to address the issue.
