According to this op-ed, Botswana’s competition authority has been growing strength, noticing “generally good feedback” since the implementation of the National Competition Policy of 2005 and the Competition Act of 2009. One of the most significant developments, says the analyst, has been the Competition Commission Rules of Procedure and the Fining Guidelines, both rulebooks to guide the Competition Authority and the Competition Commission in carrying out their enforcement.
