Israel: Antitrust Authority, Ministry of Communications clash over YES deal

Israel’s Antitrust Authority has reportedly refused to justify its decision to bar DBS Satellite Services from selling a single, bundled television, telephone and Internet plan at full price. The Ministry of Communications asked the Antitrust Authority to explain its reasoning, citing that the Antitrust Authority never made efforts to consult the Ministry, who had approved of DBS’s plan. DBS Satellite Services, also known as YES, is apparently making new efforts to talk with the Ministry in hopes of jointly convincing the Antitrust Authority to approve of the deal.
