Mexico’s top producer of poultry and other food products has released a statement announcing the nation’s antitrust authority has found the company in violation of antitrust law. Industrias Bachoco S.A.B. de C.V. said in a press release that since the CFC began investigating Bachoco in December of 2009, the CFC has found the poultry company to have participated in a price-fixing scheme among other food distributors in certain regions. They have been administered a fine of $110,000 but continue to deny the allegations.
