Bulgaria: Petroceltic-Melrose merger approved

Dublin-based oil and gas exploration firm Petroceltic International announced on October 4, that its proposed merger with Melrose Resources has been given regulatory approval by the Bulgarian Commission on Protection of Competition(CPC). Melrose Resources operates in the Bulgarian Black Sea shelf, Galata block, and has partial or full ownership of licenses in Romania, Egypt and Turkey. Petroceltic International operates in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Mediterranean basin.
