Professor sued for defamation because of blog post accusing Promusicae of antitrust violations

A professor at the IE Business School and a blogger has been sued for calling a Spanish copyright lobby a monopoly that violates antitrust laws. Promusicae has brought a defamation lawsuit against Enrique Dans for his blog post of last summer. Dans had argued that Promusicae was restraining competition by excluding non-member companies and independent artists from its digital system for sending music to radio stations. By way of damages, Promusicae seeks a public apology and 20,000 euros.
